In a sharp skirmish near Ahwal North, on the northern boundary of Cape Colony, on Sunday last, seven men of*the First Battalion Connaught Rangers were killed and twenty wounded. Reports are current that Captain, Charles Botha — son of Philip Botha, who recently published a pamphlet advocating the re-establishment of peace — and Lieutenant Humun, a field cornet, have been killed in Orange Colony.
