[BY TELEGRAPH. — PIIKSS ASSOCIATION. 1 AUCKLAND, 12th April. During March the New' Zealand Crown Mines, Limited, treated 2836 tons of ore for bullion valued at £4642. GREYMOUTH, 12th April. The dredgemaster of the Reeves Proprietary dredge wires that he has obtained 15oz 13dttt for 115 hours' work* HOKITIKA, 12th April. Good progress is being made with the construction of the Teremakau pontoons. This dredge, when completed, will be the largest and most up-to-date on the Coast. The- pontoons ate 108 ft long, the framing all hard wood, with heart of red pine planking. The contractor expects to complete his work within a month. Locally great interest centres in this dredge, as very good results were got boring the claim. The dredge will be capable of 'working to a depth of 50ft, which it is believed will bottom the deepest drifts. The Grey River F.xtended Company has four men boring about a- chain above Wallsend. The secretary of the Greenstone Creek Gold Dredging Company received the following telegram from the dredgemaster: — "Bottomed yesterday morning./' The latent information from the dredgemaster of the Al Company's dredge is to the effect that operations should commence about the 17th inst. DUNEDIN, 12th April. The following dredging returns are announced :-r-Earnscleugh No. 2, llloz 4dwt ; Alpine Consols, 48oz sdwt ; Alpine. No. 2, 29oz' 12dwt 14grs ; Central Electric, 20oz 2dwt ; Second Magnetic, 21oz 2dwt.
