Colonel Monro and Bethune's Horse,, after two hours' hard fighting near Dewetsdorp, in the east of Orange River Colony, captured eighty Boers, including Commandant Bresla and Lieut. Sindeyne, of the Staats Artillery. In the west the Kimberley column had a fight between Jacobsdal ■ and Koffyfontein. The Boers lost heavily.
