Debentures, payable to Bearer, and of tho face value of £1000, £500, £200, and £100 respectively, as may be desired. Theses debentures are scoured on the Publio Revenues of the Colony, and ore issued repayable on the Ist April, 1904, at tho Troasury, Wellington, New Zealand, or (if the tenderer so requests in Mb tender) at the office of tho Agent-General for Now Zealand in London. Dividends represented by coupons attaohed to the debentures, will be payable on the Ist April and the Ist October in each year during the .currency of the Loan, at the Cashiers Office, Treasury, Wellington, or at any branch of the Bank of New Zealand in New Zealand, or (if the debentures are issued repayable in London) at the office of tho Agent-General for New Zealand in London. At the option of the holder of any debenture issued repayable 'in New Zealand, and on application made in that behalf at the Treasury, Wellington, New Zealand, he may at any time during its cur* roncy have it endorsed payable, both as to prinoipal and interest, at the office of tho Agent-General for New Zealand, London, or at any speoified branch of the Bank of New Zealand in Australia; Provided that in the former case the endorsement shall be made not less than three, months and in the latter case not less than one month, before the due date of the next ensuing payment of interest. The firat interest coupon will be payable on the Ist October, 1901, and will be for a sum equal to sixmonths' interest on the nominal amoxmb/oirihe Debenture. The issue price will be at the rate of £100 in money for every £100 expressed in debentures (beloj? which no tender will be accepted), payable .as /follows: — Deposit of 5 per, cenl on application. ■First /instalment of 45 per cent, on Tuesday, 7th May, 1901. Second r '.alment of 50 per cent, on Tuoscmy, 4th June, 1901. Payments may be made in full at any time on or after the 7th May, 1901, and prior to the 4th June, 1991, at a discount at the rate of one pound ten shillings per centum per annum. Sealed tenders, addressed to the Secretary to the Treasury, Government Buildings, Wellington, accompanied with the 5 per cent, deposit, will bo received up to noon of TUESDAY, 23rd April, 1901, when they will be Opened in the presence of the Colonial Treasurer and the Controller and Auditor-General, and allotment will forthwith be made. If cheques are lodged with a tender, they must be drawn upon a Bank in Wellington, and be marked by such Bank as "good" for fourteen days. Cheques issued by a Bank need not be so marked. Tenders may bo for tho whole or any part of the Loan, and must Btate what amount of money will bo given for every £100 of tho Debentures tendered for. Tenders must be for even hundreds of pounds sterling, and at prices which are multiples of sixpence. Tenders at different prices must be on separate forma. The nominal amount of Debentures tendered fov must be written on the outside of tho Tendor. In case of default of tho payment of any instalment at its proper date, the deposit and instalment (if any) previously paid will bo liable to forfeiture. If no allotment is made the deposit will be returned. The first and second instalments may be paid at any branch of the Bank of New Zealand either in the Colony o_r Australia, to the credit of the Publio' Account, or at the Treasury, Wellington^ not later than the several dates previously mentioned. , Scrip Certificates will bo issued, to be subsequently exchanged far the Debenture Bonds. The Disc consists of ring and brass holder complete, ready for use, and can be put into tho valve by simply removing the bonnet, slipping the old diso from end of spindle, substituting new one, and replacing bonnet ; the whole operation requiring only a few moments' time and no skill. These Valveß have a xaiso'd ronnd seat upon which scale, grit, or sediment is less likely to lodge than on the broad, flat seats commonly used. The Stufling Boxos are all packed with Braided Round Asbestos Packing, which is very durable, and cannot be blown or washed ont.
