At Addington to-day about 8000 ?at sheep were penned', mostly owes for freozing. Buyers are doing very little, and thore is an easier tone in wethers, which nold at from 17a to 188*63, and up to 19s 2d for extra prime ; pood ewes, 14s to 16s and tip to 17s 6d for extra "prime ; seooudary and old, 10s u'd to 13a.' Fat Lambs— About 2500 were penned, pf wliioh 1800 wore taken by froozinp buyer's, who oorapeted fairly koouly at 14a to 16a 4il. About 700 wore .withdrawn, aud go to factory on the ownors' account. Inferior sold down to 10a 6d. Store Sbeep. — These numbered 8500, mostly ewes. There was a fair demand for wethers and good young ewes and forward lambs, but baokward and aged sheep were neglected. Forward wethers 15s to 16^; others, 13s Gel to 14s ; good young ewes, lGs to 17a|>aiKl tip to IDs 6d for nioe halfbreds ; sound, 14s to 15s 6d, and aged down to 12s 6(1 ; merino wethero, 7s to 7s 2d, and ewes to 7s (id ; forward lambs, Us to 13s, and others down- to 10s: • iTat Cattle.— There were 224, mostly fair quality to good steers. An over-supply caused the prioea to" deoline, except for best beef, prices for which were kept up by heavy withdrawals. Good to prime, 20a to 22s 6d ; others, 17s to 19s 6d; heavy steers, £$ to .£9 10s; lighter, M las to 10s; prime heifers, .£7 to 2s 6d ; others, M 15b to £G 15s ; good cows, to 7s Ccl ; othors, M7s tfd'tb -S6 10s. Thore was nothinK worth quoting in store cattle. Best dairy cows, £t> 10s to £B 10s ; others, .£3 to 10s. Pigs-.— About 400 were penned, including some choicOj haaonors. Baoonors. -Rsa to 52s (average 3sd per lb) ; porkers, 20a to '35s (equal to 4d per lb) ; stores, 12s to 235 ; and small, 5s to 10s. DTJNEDIN, 10th April. At the Burnside yards to-day 145 head of fat cattle were yardod, only afow pons being prime bullocks.' Prime ox beef w.is in better demand at an advance of fully 10s per head on last week's rates. Best bullocks, £8 10d to'JJIO JOs; medium, £7 5s to '^88; small, £5 15s to £d 10s; best cows and heifers, £5 10s to £7 ; medium, .£4 5s to £5 ; aged cows, .£3 10s to -64 15s. Fat Sheep —Only 1497 were penned. There was a larger proportion of wethers than usnaljimoat of thoin.pf pinnae quality, and a few pens of heavy Aveigbti. ■ Bidding was not spirited, and prices were about the same as last week Best wethers, 17s to - 19s ; medium, 15s Qd to 16s €d ; best ewes. 13a 6d to 15s ; medium, lla to 12s 6d ; aged, 8s 6d to lO.s. Fat Lambs.— About 570 were penned, all suitable for export', and met with a brisk sale, but tho medium, oto,, met with poor competition. Best, 13s 6d to 15s 3d ; medium, 10s 6d to 12s Cd; small, 8s 9d to 9s 6d. Pigs.— Seventy wore penned. Suokera, 3s 6d to 9s j slips, 10s to 12s 6d ; stores, 13s to 16s; porkers, 22s to 80s ; baconers, 42s to 48s.
