Arnold, Justices, Pat-rick Foughertv was sentencedk to two months' hard labour on a charge of being an idle and disorderly person. A young man named Albert Henry Backs was- charged with having committed an indecent assault on a gin under the age of sixteen years on or about 26th July. W. Cooper appeared for the accused, Avho was remanded till Thursday (next, bail being fixed at a personal bond of £50 and one surety of £25. The Committee managing the Military - fouirnament intet last evening and oompleted the arrangements for next a riday's display. .Squad officers were appointed for the various events, so that the fixtures may come off at advertised time.
