TRANSVAAL TREASURE CONFISCATED. (Received November 3, 9.7 a.m.) ■ LONDON, 2nd November. The thirty chests of Transvaal treasure ■on board the steamer Bundesratb have, at the instance of the syndicate interested in the Rand mines which Mx Kruger commandeered, been confiscated by the High Court at Hamburg. Mi\ Kruger was very sea-sick while voyaging in. the Gelderlamd. • AUCKLAND PATRIOTIC FUND. AUCKLAND, 2nd November. At a meeting of the Patriotic Fund Committee to-day, it was reported that the total amount received for the Patriotic Fund was £6393, of which £3002, had been sent t# London, leaving £3351 in the bank: The total received for the separate' fund for N"ew Zealnad contingents only was £1115, and after disbursements to invalided troopers and relatives, the balance remaining was*£999. It was decided tp do-operate with the Dunedin Committee in recognising the services of Mr. Pitcher, of Capetown.
