[PBESS ASSOCIATION.] (Received November 3, 9.20 a.m.) BRISBANE, This Day. It was announced in the Assembly that since July last 2zb9 male and 1584 female immigrants have been brought "out, including 700 foreigners. Recognising the possible congestion of the labour market in the near future, the Government has instructed tho Agent-General to restrict emigration to Queensland for the present. A member alleged that Queensland had spent three-quarters of a million in bringing immigrants into the colony.
