ATTACK ON A MAIL TRAIN.

NINETY BRITISH CAPTUBED &$V RESCUED. (Received November 2, 9.36 a.m.) LONDON, Ist November. After capturing a British outpost, numbering ninety, near Geneva, a party of 150 Boers held up the Capetown mail. They ejected the passengers, crammed their saddlebags with loot, burned the mails, and fired the train. On an armoured train approaching, the Boers fled, relinquishing the ninety prisoners. Twelve of the Boers were captured. The fire on the train was extinguished.
