The annual report of the English, Scottish, and • Australian Bank shows that after carrying £15,000 to reserve, there remained a profit of £36,915. A dividend of 2£ per cent, was recommended, and a further 1 dividend of 1£ per cent. on deferred inscribed deposit stock. The sum of £8018 was carried forward. Tho balance sheet shows terminable deposits, '£433,816; cash, £879,449; . bills, £983,837; advances, £3855.
