The hours of sitting before midnight wer& 504h 55m, and after midnight 174h 25m, making a total of 679h 20m, tho daily average being 9h 4m. The number of Public Bills which received the Royal assent was 104, thi'es were resei*ved for Her Majesty's pleasure, a.nd 107 were dropped or otherwise disposed of. Three private Bills were also passed. Tho petitions presented numbered 670, of which 600 wore from Europeans and 70 from Maoris.
