ENTERTAINMENTS, ETC. THE HENRY DRAMATIC SEASON.
In "East Lynne," as presented by the Henry Dramatic Company, there was less of the "intense pathos" than is usual, bub the company's m.erpretation of this labourite emotional drama appeared to be much appreciated by a subbtantial audience in Uie Opera House last night. aUias Bdlie Howarde played Lady Isabel on somewhat new lines, Miss Louie Hartley took the part of Barbara Hare, and Mr. Robert Henry the difficult role of Archibald Carlyle. Mr. George Harpur gave a carefui study of the character ot Richard Hare, i\lr. A. S. Hodge was Sir Francis Levison, and Mr. Ji. D. Haygarlh Lord Mount Severn. Minor parts were filled by luisses E. Humphries, C. Archer, W. J. Coulter, and Misses Annie Wyniard and Polly Haygarth. The periormance was a vory even one throughout. To-night the diverting and popular comedy "The Private Secretary" will be siaged. "Charley's Aunt" is underlined ior a matinee performance to-morrow afternoon, and in the evening the seasou will close with a performance of "The Flying Scud."
