Wind— Moderate from Between north and west and south-west at all places Bakomctkr— Rise everywhere Sea— Moderate on both Coasts Tides— Moderate ou nil Western Coast, and on East Const noi th of 'East, Cape. Good but decreasing: thence south waid Frost is to be expected in all parts of tlie country southward of Eiist Cape, 'i nupo, and Manukau, and very cold, liijjlit elsewhere SYKOI'KIS OK LAST 21- lIOIMIS. Northward of Eaikonra and Hokitika .pressure has continued to inciense slowly, bill il. decreased in the southward of those places after 5 pin, and bus also risen a little since 4 am. There has been a southerly gale on the East Coast south waid of Nnpiei with heavy rain, awl there has been frost in most other paits of the country southward of Napier, Taupo. and Slanuksiu, and very cold weather in the Northern distiicts. A depression from the webt passed eastward of tho meridian of South Cupe between midnight and 4 am, and one also from west will pass on tlie 22nd E. A. J3OWIN.
