ONE OF THE NEW ZEALAND OFFICERS WOUNDED.

To-day the Acting Premier, who is in Southland, received a telegram horn the Governoi quoting an advice received by him from Sir Alfred Milner stating that Captain R. W. Clayton, of the New Zealand Mounted Infantry was slightly wounded on the 26th inst. There hap pens to be no Captain Clayton with the New Zealand forces. The nearest approach to this name as transmitted is that of Captain E. W. C. Clutytor, of Marlborough, who is with the Third (Rough Riders) Contingent.
