TREATMENT OF REBELS.
THEIR FATE STILL DEPENDS ON THE QUEEN'S DECISION. LONDON, 30th May. The clemency extended to the Natal and other rebels is entirely provisional, pending the Queen's decision. [Previous cablegrams have shown us that the rebel settlers in North Natal are being allowed by General Buller to return to their homes after having taken 'an oath not to bear arms against the Crown any further, under penalty of death.]
