The adjourned inquest touching the death of Alfred Jiunes Boonstra, wlio died at the Hospital last IViday, was continued to-day. Constable Piunerty, who is charged with having assaulted Boonstra by kicking him so as to cause him actual bodily harm, was in attendance. The depositions of the deceased stating thai Pinner ty kicked him were supported by the evidence of deceased's companion, Masleni. Other evidence went to show that deceased was walking about apparently all right some time after the assault was said to have been committed. The defence is understood to be an absolute denial. The resolution is in connection with, the attack on the junior member for alleged pro-Boer proclivities, which he strenuously denied.
