TO TIIE EDITOK. Sir — I noticed an item in Saturday's paper intimating that the Police Force were to have a day added to their annual leave to celebrate the relief of Mafeking. Well, sir, travelling as Ido on the railway, I asked one oi the offic'.als if they were getting a clay also, as they were working during the celebrations, and he told me that they had heard nothing about it, and thai; neither the locomotive nor the traffic department was getting any holiday over the war. Now, sir, I thiwi: they ought to get some concessions, as they must have extra work on holidays. Hoping that some more able psn will take up the matter. — I am, etc., LET US ALL REJOICE.
