OUII COMMISSIONER BACK IN SYDNEY. [PBESS ASSOCIATION.] (Received May 28, 9.50 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Mr. Basil Thompson, who as British Commissioner to Tonga was entrusted with the mission for the hoisting of the British flag over the group, returned to Sydney by H.M.S. Porpoise. He states that the details of his negotiations with tbe chiefs will not be available for publication till the matter has been considered by the Imperial Government.
