[PRESS ASSOCIATION.] (Received January 4-, 9.40 a.m.) LONDON, 3rd January. TALLOW. At tho tallow sales 1425 casks were offered and 925 sold. Mutton, fine, 28s 3d per cwt ; medium, 275. Beef, fine, 27s 3d ; medium, 265. COPPER STATISTICS. Tho supplies received during December were 24,720 tons, and the deliveries 27,668 tons. The stocks amount to 22,817 tons, and the quantity afloat and advised to 2900 tons. SILVER. The current price of bar Bilver is 2s 3d per oz. ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. OHRISTCHUROH, 3rd January. The entries at the Addington sale today were: — 2520 fat sheep, 2400 fat lambs, 4600 store sheep, 356 cattle, and 243 pigs. Fat Cattle. — 128 head. The bulk wero heifers and cows. Very few good steers. The wants of the trade were famall, and there was a further drop of prioes, best only realising 19s per 1001b, medium to good 14s to 17s, cow and inferior down to 12s. Per head, good steers £-7 to £8, others £4 15s to £6 10s; heifere, £4 10s to £5 15s; cows, £3 15s to £6 17s 6d. Of a mixed yarding of fat sheep the bulk wero butchers' sorts. The market was irregular. Freezing sheep 13f 6d to 143 6d, butchers' ewes 9s 9d to 13s. Fat lambs were well represented, and met good demand. , A few extra prime sold up to 13s lOd, freezing quality 11s 6d to 13s, lighter 11s 4d. In store sheep tho market was well supplied. Buyers of all classes were very keen, every line changing hnnd^i at prices which can leave little margin whon compared with the values ruling at tho fat pens. Amongst lines of wethers were 402 four-tooths at 13s 9d, 400 at 13s 7d, 380 at 13b 7d, 380 at 13s 5d to 13s 7d, and 370 at 13s 3d. A lino of 760 mixed two-tooths brought 12s 4d ; 268 maiden ewes, 9s. Small lots — Ewes 5s 6d to 9s, wethers 12s 6d. Tho store lambs included 104 at 10s lOd, 455 at 10s 2cJ, 700 at 10s. J There was only a medium entry of pigs. The demand for both stores and fats was anything but good. Baconers brought 30s to 34s 6d, or 3d per lb ; porkers 3£d per lb, stores 14s 9d to 19s, weanerß 11s to 14b, suckers 5s 9d to 10s 6d. Messrs. Freeman R. Jackson and Co., in conjunction with Messrs. Abraham and Williams, report on the Johnsonville sale as follows: — Cattle were in average supply. Best bullocks made £7 10s to £7 17s od ; medium bullocks, £6 15s to ,£7 9s, averaging 16s 6d to 17s 6d per 1001b. Prime heifers and cows, £5 to £5 2s 6d; lighter sorts, £4 10s to £4 17s 6d. Sheep were in short supply, but more than sufficient for requirements. Best ewes made 9s 3d to 9s 6d ; others, 8s lOd to 9s. No wethers or lambs came forward. Porkers, £1 3b 6d.
