MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS.
LONDON, 20fch December. The Cape cablo between St. Thomas Islaud, in the Gulf of Guinea, and Loando, in Portuguese West Africa, which has been interrupted duriug the past week, has now been repaired. A memorial service in memory of those who have fallen in the war was held at St. Paul's Cathedral. The Duke of Cambridge (formerly Commander -iv - Chief oi tho British Army), Lord Landsowue (Secretary of State for War), and the Lord Mayor of London were present.
