ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET.

CHRTSTCHURCH, 20tli December. The entries at the Addington market to-day were :— 3321 fat sheep, 20"0 fat lambs, 4300 ptore slieop. 525 head cattle, 325 \rigs. Good to prime steers brought J>7 to jGB 12s 6d ; lighter, .£5 to .£6 10s ; extra prime ahow heifers, £8 to .£9 ; good, £Q to £7 ; lighter down to ;8£ 17a 6d ; cows, £3 7s 6d to M 15s. Prime wethers, 15a to 19s ; freezing quality, 13s 9d to 14s : lighter, 13s to 13s 6d ; butchers' ewes, 8s to 12s ; fat lambs, prime, to 14s ; freezers, lls to 13s ; lighter, down to 9s Gd. Four and six tooth store wethers brought 12s 6d to 13s ; two-tooth, lls 7d to 12s 4d; lambs (all counted) brought 6s 6d to lls 9d. The pig 1 market was very flat for all sorts. Baooners brought barely 3a and porkers 3d to 3Jd per lb. Messrs. Haigli and Morrah. report that they held their monthly stock sale at Otaki yesterday. The yards wore well filled with store and dairy cattle, sheep, pigs, and a large number of horses. The attendance was good. For all classes of store stook there was a keen demand, calves selling at 225, yearlings at 355, dairy cows (ordinary), .£4 ; fat, J24 to .£5 ; store cows, £A 10s to J62 128 6d. Old ewos brought up to 7s. Tram horses, £8 10s, .£5 15s to M ; others, i?ll, iJ9, .£B, .£6 15s. The yards were well cleared of all tho stock entered.
