NOTICE is hereby given that tho City Council passed the following Rosolution at a Special Meeting held on Thursday, the 16th day of November, 1899 — viz : The Council of the City 0/ Wellington hereby makes (by special order) the following Bylaw unde.r tho authority of "Tho Municipal Corporations Act, 1886," and every other Act enabling it in that behalf, such Bylaw to come into force on the first day of January, 1900 : — 1. This Bylaw shall take effect as if it were part < of the Consolidated Bylaw, 1898, and shall be read subject to tho provisions of Part I. thereof headed "Introductory." 2. Tho first paragraph of section 240 of the said Bylaw is hereby repealed. 3. Tho charge for wator unrlor tho pxtraordinary supply shall ba ft* th« rate of sixpence, per thousand gallons when supplied for motive power, and ninepence per thousand gallons when supplied 'otherwise than for motive power, for any of the purposes set out in section 237. 4. The proviso to the said section 240 shall remain in force. And notice is hereby further given that tho said Resolution will be submitted for confirmation at the Annual Meeting of tho Council to be held on Wednesday, |ho 20th day of December, 1899, at noon.
