NEW ZEALAND'S CONTINGENT.
CONGRATULATIONS TO THIS COLONY. A. Press Association cablegram received last night states that the Waiwera has arrived at Port Elizabeth, but gives no other information as to the movements of either the steamer or the troops. (Received November 24, 9.40 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The Daily Telegraph congratulates New Zealand on being the first colony to got j its troops to the Capo, The Government, it says, raised and embarked the contingent with zealous expedition, and its early arrival proves that the spontaneity in offering was backed by thoroughness of organisation.
