The Mayor said be believed tbnt the Union Steam Ship Company, if the harbour wore made navigable at all states of tbe title, would take advantage of the shorter distance between Onehunga and Sydney than between the latter port and Auckland. The Government ought not only to dredgo tho Mnnukaii Harbour, but also to keep a dredge stationed at Onebunga.
