Tho surplus for division amongst suppliers, ufter making provision for tho usual dividend to shareholders, will amount to £6000, being .10 to 15 per cent, better than last year. Together the Taratahi, Belvedero, and Dalctield factories have dealt with between nine and ten million* of pounds weight of milk, the whole of which has been converted into Cheddar chceso, chiefly exported to Great Britain. This is done ou co-operative linos. There are in addition several private makers of cheese m a large way Tho whole output of the threo factories has been sold, and practically all delivered. The now season will commence ou Ist September. Tho quantity of chceso turned out in the Carterton distiict may be put in round ligures at 500 tons for the season, and tho gross valuo is about £20,000. This rough estimate includes Jill the private makers us well as tho factories. Fahiatua, Tnis Day.
