At the Chamber of Commerce meeting to-diiy the question of railway communication with Wellington was again discussed, and the desirability of the connection being made was nflirmed. The Chamber also Unanimously decided in favour of a loan being raised by tho Government, provided the same wits expended iil the construction of the authorised but uncompleted lines.
