The market rate of discount for best three months' bills is 1-16 higher at 2 3-16 per cent. The Bank of England rate is 3 per cont., as against 3£ per cent, on the 19th January, 4 per cent, on 13th October, 8 per cent, on 22ud September, and 2£ per cent, on 30tli Jnne. The wheat market is quiet, March oargoes are offored ab 28s 6d per quarter c.i.f . ; April cargoes at 28s 3d • and March parcels per steamer at 28s 3d and per sailer at 27s 6d. The sugar market is steady. German beet, 88deg., 6d lower at 11s per owt ; Java cane, No. 1, D.S,< unchanged at 13s pev cwt. _ The Bradford top market is brisk. Common sixtioß are unohangod at 2-J^d per lb ; super sixties, Id higher at 26d. Colonial rabbits are in poor demand. The best are being sold at 9Jd. Butter is quiet, and prices generally unchanged. In the wool market, the Kaiwara clip has been sold at 11$ d por lb, THE INDUSTRIAL METALS. The copper market is dull. The spot quotation is .£76 10s per ton, a fall of 10s since last week. Tin is steady — Spot, .£ll6 10s por ton, a fall of £2 7a 6d since last week ; threemonths', .£ll7 12s, a fall of £2 10a 9d. Pig iron — Glasgow warrants, No. 1, cash, £2 2a 9d por ton f.o.b. in Clyde. Lead— Soft foreign, 7s 6d higher at .£l4 10s per ton. The Customs duties collected at the Port of Wellington for the week ending to-day amounted to .£10,359 8s lOd. Beer, .£lB4 6s 6d.
