IN THE SOUDAN. LORD KITCHENER TO OCCUPY THE GORDON PALACE.

Lord Kitchener, Sirdar o£ the Egyptian Army, who is making Khartoum the centre of his operations in the Soudan, is to occupy the palace in that city in which General Gordon lived in the period immediately preceding his death. The palace, which is in ruins, is now being re-built for the purpose.
