BRITISH STATESMEN'S VIEWS. j [PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Sydney, Bth February. A special session of the New South Wales Parliament is to be called for the 21st inst. to decide the next step to be taken in the Federal movement. London, Bth February. • In the course of his speech in the House of Lords Earl Kimberley expressed great satisfaction at the prospect of Australian Federation. Lord Salisbury echoed the sentiment, believing that the movement would tend to the prosperity and happiness of the colonies and render more indissoluble their bonds of attachment to the Motherland. FURTHER CONGRATULATIONS. (Received February 9, 9.20 a.m.) London, Bth February. The Colonial Party in the House of Commons has cabled to the Premier of New South Wales cordially congratulating him upon the prospects of the consummation of Federation.
