GOODS ARE BEING SOLD v AT i T ESS THAN HALF-PRICE AT THE SYDNEY CASH DRAPERY CO.'S SALE. MARA VILLA GARDEN TEAS. LADIES,— Did you ever stop to consider what a small amount is saved by buying cheap teas? Take, for instance, a family of six. 'ineir monthly consumption of tea is probably not more than one pound to a pound and a-half ; yet for the small saving of 4d to 6d a month, or a few shillings a year, they deny themselves the pleasure of drinking for their daily beverage the best tea that can be bought. The MARA VILLA GARDEN TEAS are CEYLON, and unblended. They are simply graded into four qualities — namely, Golden-tipped Pekoe, Flowery Pekoe, Pekoe Souchong, and Souchong. Why do merchants blend teaß? They will tell you, to suit the publio tasto ; but the true reason is, to gain a very much larger profit. In plain English, tea-blending is the art of making a cheap tea appear to be worth more than it really is. A blended tea has always an unnatural flavour, and although to the customer it seems nice when first tried, yet there is something wanting in it ; then another is tried, and so it goes on. It is a fact that people who use unblended teas don't often change. Examine any blended tea carefully, and you will notice that the bulk is composed of very small tea, known as tea dußt or farmings, with a small sprinkling of a better class of tea to give it a character which it does not itself possess. When this class of tea is brewed it gives off its liquor immediately, and nothing iB left for a second cup. The MARA VILLA TEAS are packed by the growers in Ceylon under the company's trade mark, thiiß the consumers can rely on getting the genuine article. Most brands of teas in the market are advertised by their various vendors as being pure, wholesome, and invigorating. The MARAVILLA TEAS being perfection, naturally possesß these desirable qualities and all others. The quality known as MARAVILLA GOLDEN-TIPPED PEKOE is a poem in a teacup. F. R.
