» [PRESS ASSOCIATION.] London, 26th January. The Daily Chronicle regards Earl Beauohamp's appointment to the Governorship of New South Wales as the most interesting one of recent years. He is of high character, says the Chronicle, eloquent, and a notable public writer. The Earl has but recently returned from a tour in the East, where he took particular interest in the struggles of the Eastern Christians. \
