THE SAMOAN OUTBREAK.

THE ACTION OP THE GERMAN OFFICIALS. AMERICAN COMPLAINT TO THE BERLIN GOVERNMENT. [PBESS ASSOCIATION.] (Received January 27, 11.20 a.m.) Berlin, 26th January. The United States Government has complained to Herr yon Bulow, the German Minister for Foreign Affairs, as to the indignity to which Chief Justice Chambers, of Samoa, who is an American citizen, was subjected through the action of the German officials at Apia in the warlike demonstration of the natives that succeeded the deliverance of his Honour's judgment in favour of Malietoa's claims to the Samoan throne. It is believed that the Amercan authorities have also asked for the dismissal of Herr Rose, the German Consul-General at Apia.
