The fire which occurred at Colston Hall, Bristol, during the progress of the Trades Union Congress last } r ear entailed the adjournment of the discussion of the proposal for the establishing a federation trades. A special meeting of the Congress convened for the purpose of carrying on the discussion is now being held in Manchester. (Received January 26, 10 a.m.) London, 25th January. The Trades Congress has decided in favour of the national federation of the trades.
