The following are the latest quotations for Government socurities :— Variation as Price. -Xh^ last week.

The quotations for Queensland 3J per cents, and the two New Zealand denominations were mutilated in transmission. THE MONEY AND SILVER MARKETS. The market rate of discount for best three months' bills is £ higher, at 3i per cent. The Bank of England rate is 4 per cent., as against 3 per cent, on 22nd September and 2| per cent, on 30th June. ' The market price of bar silver is 2s Sid per oz.
