CRICKET.
The Waiwetu Club has started on & cricketing tour, and will play matches at Palmerston, Colyton, Feilding, and Qtaki. The following will represent the Institute Cadets in a match against the Maori team, to be played at Porirua on New Year's Day : J. Wilson, H. Johnson, Redmond, Burns,, Hutchings, Bell, Lloyd, Crowes, Symonds, Tretheway, Churnside. Train leaves at 1(X a.m. The match Wesley* v. Petone will b& continued at Petone to-morrow, not on 7th January. Brake leaves Veitoh & Allan's at 1.30 sharp.
The butchers and pork butohers of the city will close their pretmUe* on Monday aud' Tuesday next*
