She is to connect with the Talune at Dunedin for Bluff, Hobart, and Melbourne. The Talune left Sydney at 3 pm on Saturday and arrived here at 1.30 o'clock thia morning. Owing to a case of measles on board the steamer anchored in the stream until 7 am. Her cargo, including 3060 cases fruit, consisted of 1181 tons, of which quantity (including' 2373 cases fruit) 447 tons were for Wellington. There were 40 horses on board for southern ports. From headquarters the local office is advised that the Kirautaka left Hobart at 4pm on Tuesday, in continuation of her voyage from London , to Wellington. She has 31 saloon and 29 steerage passengers and 1170 tons cargo for Wellington, and 50 baloon and 38 steerage passengers and 1326 tons cargo for other ports. A pi ivate telegram received in town yesterday afternoon states that the pontoon built by Meusrs Cunninghame and Bringans for Messrs Crabtree aad Sons, to the order of the Imperial Dredging Co, has been launched in the Havelock district. The Huia, from Pjcton, brought 511 carcases mutton and 50 cases kidneys for transhipment to the lonic. Passengers by the Waikare for Sydney are requested to note that her departure from "Wellington is fixed for 2 pm on Saturday, instead of 4 pm, as originally advertised. The signalmen at Farewell Spit report that the Omaperej from Westport to Wellington, passed at 8.15 this morning ; also a barque, name unknown, standing to the westward at 6 am.
