FRANCO-SIAMESE FRICTION.
[PBESS ASSOCIATION.] Bangkok, 25th December. The Siamese have refused to evacuate certain positions in accordance with the treaty df 1893 — under which the French advanced their Annamese frontier to the Mekong, and acquired territory comprising about 50,000 square miles. They attacked the French Agent (whose escort was unarmed) at Luang-Prabang, one of the chief cities of Indo-China.
