Passengers : Cabin — Misses M' Vicar, Gow, Mog-inie, Grace, O'Hiilloran, Mackenzie, Alosdames M'Lellau, Gell.ttlcy. Jones, Monnier, Slayer, Keith, Stevenson, Messrs Al'Lcllan, Jones, Black, Highinaii, Scott, Butler, Lemonon, Gellatley ; 9 steerage A telegram from Auckland states that the Mamnri did not get away for Wellington until 6 o'clock this morning. The steamer has about 1000 packages explosives to put out at this port. From Westport the Kini returns to Wellington, and sails on Saturday for southern ports. II; is intended that the Hesketh shall make auodier trip from Greymouth to Wellington with coal for hulk and shore supply. Messrs W. and G. Turnbull and Oo are advised' that the Aorere is still barbound at Patea, through low tides, bad bar, and a heavy sea. Mr Iloaton is informed that the Mann, which left, here for Patea on Monday morning, p\it into XVumi nun this morning', as she was nimble to cross the Patea bar owing to its dangerous state. About 35,000 carcases mutton, 7oo bales flax, and a qunniity of wool, tallow, &c, will be shipped from Wellington by the Gothic, which sails for London on Thursday next. So far the passenger accommodation is being fairly taken up. It is nnderstood that Captain Crawford will resume command of the Huia. The vessel was put on the Patent Slip this morning for cleaning and painting, and will be ready for sea to-morrow. She is to bring two or three loads of meat from the Aramoho Freezing Works for transhipment to the Gothic. The brigantine Aratupu, from Tairua, with 100,000 ft timber*, was towed in by the launch Motorua this morning, and 'berthed at Jervoisquay wharf. She left on the sth, and met with very rough weather throughout, strong W and SE winds prevailing. She was blown off the land on Friday, and did not pick it up again uivtil Monday morning. A strong northerly gale met with when off Wellington Heads necessitated the vessel putting to sea. The local agents are advised that the Indramayo is due here on Sunday morning, and sails for Wangauui roadstead on Monday evening ; also that the Star of England, from Australia, Auckland, and East Coast, will arrive at this port early next month.
