THE NEW YORK- A USTRALIAN SERVICE.

Cargo-carrying steamers from New York continue to reach Australia at short intervals, and will seriously interfere with, if not cripple, the sailiug ship trade between the two continents. Already sailers are feeling the pinch. Advice has reached New Zealand that the pioneer steamer of the Tyser Company, tho Queen Margaret, secured a full cargo at New York, but the vessel's actual sailing date is not stated. Th<\ next vessel to leave under the same auspices is the x.s. Tolosa, 3269 tons, to sail from New York about 26th October. It was originally intended to put on the Star of England as the pioneer vessel of the new line, but the project was abandoned.
