Tame & Co. report : — The Johnsonville yards were well filled yesterday with cattle, mostly of good quality. Sheep were in very moderate supply, several trucks entered not being 1 forward. Pigs were woll represented. Best bullocks sold at .£8 to ; others, .£6 10s to .£7 10s ; beef making close on to 20s per 1001b. Sheep— AVethers, 14a to 15s 6d. Pigs sold at aud front 26s to 445, with a good demand ; store cattle, very poor, 15s to 35s ; calves, ss. We would advise our clients to forward to us their fat cattle early, as we anticipate a drop in thft market before longr. Messrs. Freeman R. Jackson & Co.' s Johnaonvilld 1 stock report is as follows : — Pat cattle, in full supply, sold freely, making 1 better prices at the latter part of the sale than at the • outset. The bulk of the entries was prime and shapely beef. It made 18s 6<l to 20s the 1001b. Prim« heifers made much the same rate. Sheep were in short supply. Pigs, in limited numbers, sold well. We quote :— Prime bullocks, £7 17s 6d to .£8 17s 6d; others. 5s to J>6 10s; large, rough bullocks, .£6 17s 6d to £7 2s 6d ; prime cows and heifers. £6 5s to .£6 10s : fat wethers, 14s 7d to 16s ; lighter weight, 13s 3d ; prime fat owes, 13s to 14s 7d ; fat lambs, 8s to 10s. Pork— Pigs, 20s 6d to 34a; smaller sorts, 16s 6d to 19s 6d.
