NORTH ISLAND TRUNK RAILWAY,
+ [by telegraph — press association.] Auckland, This Day. At a representative meeting of citizens of Auckland held to consider the North Island Trunk Railway question the following resolution was carried after discussion :—": — " That in the opinion of this meeting the connection between Auckland and AVellington by way of Stratford should be made without delay ; that the Auckland members be urged to impress on the Government the importance of the work, and that means be taken to secure the return to next Parliament of members who are pledged to the construction of the railway."
