FOOTBALL.
The Swifts (Association) Football Club held its annual meeting at the Trocadero last evening. Mr. C. P. Skerrett presided. Eight new members were elected. The annual report and balance-sheet, showing satisfactory results, were adopted. It was stated that arrangements were being made to send a team to Wanganui and Palmerston North. Mr. Courtnej r moved that the Challenge Cup, which had been won outright by the first eleven, should be re-presented to the Wellington Football Association, to be competed for in either the third or fourth divisions, the delegates of the Wellington Pootball Association and the Swifts Club to arrange the teims of competition. This was agreed to. It was decided to send a letter of sympathy to the brother of the late Mr. A. M. Henderson, who not only was founder of the club, but took an active interest in Association matters generally. A vote of thanks was given to Mr. T. H. Cramp, who had been Secretary for three years, but now declined re-election. The electiou of officers resulted as follows: — President, Mr. C. P. Skerrett ; Vice-Presi-dents, Messrs. C. Browning, A. de B. Brandon, J. W. Bridge, and Drs. Hemy and James ; Secretary, Mr. H. Mayer. Senior Officers — Captain, Mr. P. J. Courtney ; Vice-Captain, Mr. H. Lee ; General Committee, Messrs. R. J. Thompson, J. Smith, and P. Kinniburgh ; Match Committee, Messrs. H. Lee and J. Macdonald ; Dolegates to W.F.A., Messrs. P. J. Corfrtney and J. Smith. The junior team will elect its own officers. Third-class Officers — Captain, Salmon ; Secretary, Churchward ; Match Committee, Churchward and Robinson ; Delegates to Association, Salmon and Styles. Fourth - class Officers — Captain, Cope ; Match Committee, Churchward and Williams. The Thorndon (Association) Club will hold its annual meeting at the National Hotel to-morrow night.
