[by telegraph. — own cobbespondent/} Greytown North, This Day. At a well-attended public meeting on Saturday, it was unanimously resolved that the Hospital sports meeting be held on the Queen's Birthdaj*. The action of the Metropolitan Club in refusing to pass the programme submitted was severely commented upon. A strong committee was formed, and large support is assured. Masterton, This Day. The Masterton A. and P. Association has decided to be represented at the Agricultural Conference in June next at Christchurch. The balance-sheet of the Association shows the profits of the last show to amount to £271 12s 6d. The gross assets of the Association are put down at £2778 14s Bd, against which, in debentures, <tc, there are liabilities amounting to £900. The position of the society is considered very healthy and the outlook most promising.
