SUBURBAN FIRE IN AUCKLAND.
» [BY TELEGRAPH — PBESS ABSOCIATIOX.] Auckland, 23rd December. A fire at Kingsland (better known as Mount Albert) tbis afternoon destroyed five buildings. The premises destroyed were :—: — Henry Hayson, tinsmith (insurance not known) ; Eobert Ellis, dwelling, insured for £200 in the South British ; Charles Clark, dwelling, insured for £400 in the Norwich Union ; Thos. Barnaby, butcher, insured for £200 in the South British ; Charles Henderson, dwelling, insured for £400 in the Imperial. The origin of the fire is not known. This Day. Henry Hayson has been arrested on a charge of arson in connection with the Kingsland fire. He was brought up at the Police Court to-day and remanded.
