The Novoe Vremya says that Japan is unable to command the aid of any Power interested in Chinese waters, i The Notoate, another leading journal, states that Great Britain will proMbly acquire Port Hamilton, in the som of Corea, or Port Lazareff, in the north-west. Other Russian newspapers say that the financial relations between Russia, China, and Corea give Russia enormous influence as compared with that of the other Powers. Washington, 23rd December. The United States Government remains passive with regard to the Par East question.
