"Wihd—Between north-east and north and west at all places during next 12 hours, but changing to between north and west and south-west at all places southward of Lyttelton and Kaikouia after that time BiEOMETER—Eise at all places northward of Napier and New Plymouth ; fall elsewhere Sea—Rough on western coast south of New Plymouth, and on eastern coast southward of Castlepoint TiDEs-Good on western coast sonth of New Plymouth, and on eastern coast south of Castlepoint Strong northerly winds are to be expected at all places southward of Napier and New Plymouth synopsis or Lisr 24 hours Northward of Napier and New Plymouth the barometer has continued to rise slowly, but it has fallen slowly everywhere else. The weather has been fine in all parts of the country, with moderate winds generally from the north and eastward, and there has been heavy rain at Taupo during yesterday afternoon H. A. EDWIN
