Thorpe, who will have associated with him the following officers :— Chief, Mr WillcocVs, at present chief officer of the Anglian; second, Mr Entwi.stle; third, Mr M'Giffeu. Mr M'Gregor will be iv charge of the engine-room, assisted by Mr F. Churchward and Mr Webster, as second and third engineers respectively. The fourth engineer has not yet been appointed. The Elingnmite is the second largest boat in the Huddart-Parker fleet, and has recently been thoroughly overhauled iv every department, new boilers having been fitted, and a general renovation token place. She leaves Sydney on sth January. The Anglian takes her place in the Melbourne-Sydney run.
