THE HUTT TRAINING TRACKS.
I had occasion to complain a few months back at the manner in which the Stewards of the Wellington Racing Club treated the Hutt trainers in not providing them with anything like decent tracks to prepare their charges on. Subsequently, however, it was decided, on representation being made to the Stewards by the trainers themselves, to lay down a sand track and also relay the tan one. The sand track was formed and it has given satisfaction, but the tan waa stripped off the other track in places, and the work has been hanging fire ever since. I do not know the reason for the delay, but all 1 can say is thit.it is nothing short of soandalous that such dilatoriness should exist in the currying out of such an important work. At the present, time in consequence of the hard nature of tho ground, the tan .gallop is urgently needed, and much dissatisfaction naturally prevails amongst the trainers at the Hutt. i trust that the Course Committee of the club will immediately attend to the matter and see that the completion of the work is carried but at once.
