Prince Mavrogordato, the Greek Minister here, has protested to the representatives of the Powers that in connection with the war indemnity Greece is paying 4,000,000 francs (£160,000) to recoup private British losses. Mr. Gladstone, in a letter dealing with the Eastern question, says the Concert of European Powers has covered itself with indelible disgrace, especially as far as the Empire of Germany is concerned.
