M'Leay, who was terribly injured at Owharoa a few days ago through an explosion while he was blasting in a quarry, died in the hospital this morning. Auckland. This Day. A native search party, while searching for the bodies of four natives drowned recently while fishing off Whangaruru, came across the remains of a native and a European, who was identified as Arthur Kitchen, drowned in 1894. While bushfelling at the "Wairoa Gorge, Nelsou, on Tuesday, a man named Albert Stratford was struck by portions of a falling tree, and pne. of his legs was fractured in several places. The man succumbed while the leg was being amputated. A lad of 15 named JBuckland, a son of Mr. Ctaas. Buckland, hotel keeper, at present on his way back from England, died suddenly at the Thames last Sunday afternoon immediately after completing a smart bic3 r cle ride. He expired in the saddle.
